BENTON – Jerry McBride, 82, of Benton, passed away on February 27, 2023 in Benton, IL. 

He was born on September 5, 1940 to Norwood and Katherine (Carson) McBride in West Frankfort, IL.

Jerry retired from Benton Consolidated High School as a Janitor.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Benton, IL.

Jerry is survived by his Cousin, Jimmy Carson and wife Kay of Benton, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norwood and Katherine McBride.

Services have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 South Main St., Benton, IL.

Per Jerry’s wishes cremation will take place and a private burial will be held at Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery, Benton, IL., at a later date.
