CARBONDALE – IDOT says there will be a road closure on Illinois 13 (Walnut Street) at the railroad crossing just east of US 51 (Illinois Avenue) in Carbondale starting Monday at 8 a.m.

The closure is necessary so crews from the Canadian National Railway can perform repairs on the railroad crossing. Work should be finished by 6 p.m. Friday, June 9.

No traffic will be allowed through the crossing during repairs.

To avoid the work area, use the marked detour.
