COLP – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired on Andrew Springs Road in Colp Sunday afternoon.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, upon arrival, deputies discovered that multiple individuals exchanged gunfire.

Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich says that a search warrant was later executed at a home and a firearm was recovered which had previously been reported stolen out of West Frankfort. Two persons of interest have been detained.

The sheriff’s office says this is an ongoing investigation. Additional information will be made available at a later date.
