CARMI – The White County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a side by side vehicle from Big River Solar in Enfield.

According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy was sent to the business just after 1 Wednesday afternoon about the theft.

The deputy spoke with Benjamin Faulkner of Vandalia, who works for Midwest Service’s Group, who owns the side by side that was stolen.

Faulkner told the deputy he parked all three side by side vehicles beside each other on Friday outside of the fence. Faulkner says when he returned to work Wednesday, the side by side was gone.

The stolen side by side was identified as a white 2022 Kawasaki single cab with black wheels and the number 14 on one of the doors. Faulkner says he has the key to the vehicle so whoever stole it would have had to damage the ignition in some way to start it.

Faulkner provided the deputy with the vehicle’s model number and VIN number. He also signed a complaint for the theft of the side by side.

The deputy told Faulkner that the vehicle would be entered into LEADS as stolen and a report would be completed and placed on file at the sheriff’s office.

Anyone with information should contact the White County Sheriff’s Office.
