CAIRO – Starting Monday, the U.S. 60/62 Mississippi River Bridge at Cairo will close to all traffic for a year so major structural repairs can be made. The bridge is set to reopen on Oct. 1 of next year.

A marked detour will be in place to direct motorists.

Additional message boards and informational signs will also be utilized.
