MARION – A man wanted on an outstanding Franklin County arrest warrant for domestic battery was cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle following a traffic stop late Sunday night in Williamson County.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies stopped Terry L. Key on Illinois 148 near Illinois 13 in Marion and discovered he was wanted on the warrant.

Key got out of his vehicle and was taken into custody. A search of his person incident to arrest discovered a bottle in Key’s pocket which contained a schedule 3 controlled substance.

Key was then cited and taken to the Williamson County Jail.
