VALIER – Kimberly S. Miner, 59, of Valier passed away Saturday morning, January 6, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Eldorado, IL on November 29, 1964, the daughter of John Lewis and Annettia (Laffoon) Kittinger. She married Brian Miner on December 9, 1995.

Mrs. Miner loved crafting, traveling, her family, her dog Ottis, cooking, high school and college sports. She had a distinctive decorating style. She owned and operated her own primitive business. Brian and Kimberly always dressed as the best Santa & Mrs. Claus; they loved giving generously to others. She always had a wonderful smile and loved the Lord. Kimberly was a very giving person, always ready to help others. To quote Brian “She was my best friend.”

Sister-in-law: Lisa Wilson & husband Kevin of Steeleville
Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends

Mrs. Miner was preceded in death by her mother, an infant sister Lorinda Rae and by a son-in-law Quentin Haney.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10th at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Pastor Bill Uhles, Cindy Hamilton & Gigi Sever officiating.

Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Equality.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
