BENTON – Learn to navigate change as you age through a free program on Feb. 27 at the Gwen Wynn Center in Benton hosted by University of Illinois Extension.

Change can be hard. Everyone is aging, and many changes happen along the way – physically, mentally, and financially – in about every aspect of our lives. Join Family Life Educator Robin Ridgley as she examines some of those changes and how to adopt a mindset that is more accepting of change that will result in improved well-being and possibly new opportunities.

Ridgley’s program priorities relate to social-emotional wellness, aging well, brain health, and family relationships. She connects with local partners and community members to provide educational programming and resources on healthy living throughout the lifespan.

“Major life changes or events can happen early on in adulthood, but many are experienced later in life,” said Ridgley. “Our program shares ways to cope with these changes to set individuals up for success with a positive mindset.”

The free program is Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Gwen Wynn Senior Center, 104 N. Tenth St, Benton, IL 62812. To register, call Kaylee at 618-439-3181.
