MCLEANSBORO – Flo Ann Hart, age 86, of McLeansboro, IL, passed away Thursday, November 27, at Deaconess Hospital in Marion, IL. She was born October 24, 1939, in Aden, IL, the daughter of George Norman and Mary Mariah (Wilson) Redmon.
She married Kenneth Wayne Hart on July 27, 1957, in Mt. Vernon, IL. Flo Ann worked as a nurse’s aide at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro for 15 years and later for the Department of Rehabilitation Services in Benton, IL. She eventually owned and operated her own beauty shop for several years.
Flo attended the Congregational Christian Church and Ten Mile Baptist Church, both of McLeansboro. She loved flowers and dearly enjoyed the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her lifetime. She also enjoyed attending plays at the Marion Theater and the Fox Theater in St. Louis.
Flo is survived by three sons: Rickey Eugene Hart (wife Lisa), Rodney Dean Hart, and Robert “Bob” Hart (wife Kristen), and one daughter, Robin Huggins (husband Greg), all of McLeansboro, IL. She is also survived by one sister, Linda Dickey (husband Bobby) of Wayne City, IL.
Additional survivors include ten grandchildren: Andrea (Aaron) Peters, Andrew (Lauren) Hart, Jamie Hart, Matthew Hart, Stephanie (Seth) Grandrimas, Chelsee (Mark) Miller, Emily (Rick) Rubenacker, Tim (Tiffany) Hart, Melyssa (Sawyer) Wiggins, and Daniel Hart; and 14 great-grandchildren: Bryce, Emma, Jalynn, Aaron, Edith, Jackson, Olivia, Lincoln, Lawson, Maren, Cayden, Kaitlynn, Conner, and Zach.
Flo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Wayne Hart; six brothers: Marvin, Ronnie, Everett, Roy, Orville, and Eugene Redmon; four sisters: Shirley Lovell, Ruby Sefried, Hazel Buchanan, and Mary Helen Severs; and two grandsons, Michael and Zach Hart.
