Mary Ann Gelso, 87, of West Frankfort passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Helia Healthcare in Benton, at 8:06 a.m.

Mary was born on May 9, 1938.

Mary loved her family especially her grandsons. They were her biggest joy. She also enjoyed antiques and sports.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gelso; and her parents.

Mary is survived by her son, Jack (Keely) Gelso; grandchildren: Cole and Mace Gelso; nephew, Mickey Gelso and his daughter, Rachel, and her son, Brandon.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort.

Burial will be in Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.
