MCLEANSBORO – Gary Anthony Randazzo, 74, of McLeansboro, IL, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Countryside Center in Bardwell, KY. Gary was born on August 27, 1951 in Elgin, IL, to Philip Randazzo & Marjorie (Onsrud) Randazzo. On December 15, 1996, he married Mary (Watkins) Randazzo, who survives.
Gary worked as a Creel Clerk for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for over 20 years. He was Commander of the Sons of the American Legion in McLeansboro, a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #1882 in McLeansboro, and a former member of the Eagles Lodge Aerie #2699 in McLeansboro.
He loved the outdoors, and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was known for his willingness to help out anyone in need. He was a loving & giving husband, father, and grandfather.
Gary is survived by his wife, Mary Randazzo of McLeansboro, IL; his daughter, Amber (Scott) Turnbow of Paducah, KY; 3 grandchildren: Noah (Chelsea) Brien of Benton, KY, Ella Brien of Cincinnati, OH, and Aden Brien of Clinton, IL; and 2 great-grandchildren: Natalie and Nolan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip & Marjorie Randazzo.
In accordance with Gary’s wishes, his body will be cremated and the family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
The Gholson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
