WEST FRANKFORT – Rebecca Lynn Calvert, 62, of West Frankfort, Illinois, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Independent Group – Cobden, Illinois, at 9:32 a.m.

Rebecca was born February 23, 1963, in Benton, Illinois, to Ernest and Doris (Baker) Calvert. She loved her family and her friends at the Independent Group. Rebecca loved McDonald’s, music, animals, and amusement parks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ernest Dee Calvert.

Rebecca is survived by her sister, Paula (Mike) Riva; brothers: Jack (Patricia) Calvert and David (Heidi) Calvert; nieces and nephews: Allison (Mike) Dziadus, Jennifer (Matt) Baniak, Katie (Matt) Caraway, Sarah Riva, Tucker (Amanda) Calvert, Tannie (Morgan) Calvert, Zac (Jessie) Calvert, and Jacklynn Calvert; along with several great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, Illinois, with her brother, Jack Calvert, officiating. Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to a charity of choice. Envelopes will be available and accepted at the funeral home.
