BENTON – Patsy Ann Summers-Davis, 92, of Benton, passed away at midnight on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Stonebridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Benton, Illinois.
She was born on July 20, 1933, in Benton, Illinois, to Alva Monroe and Dolly Mae (Cluck) Shockley. Prior to her retirement, Patsy worked as a secretary for Elkhorn Middle School. On June 30, 1950, she married Billie Summers, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2008. She later married Eugene Davis in 2012, and he preceded her in death on December 11, 2024.
She was a member of East Benton Baptist Church; Como Community Church in Como, Wisconsin; and most recently, North Benton Baptist Church.
Patsy is survived by her loving daughter, Melody Summers Person and her husband, Lowell, of Windsor, Colorado; her grandson, Tyler Person and his wife, Christina; her granddaughter, Kelsey Person; and her great-granddaughter, Tesla Person.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Billie Summers; her second husband, Eugene Davis; three brothers, Bob Shockley, Jim Shockley, and Jack Shockley; and one sister, Doris Shockley Evans.
Services have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home and Crematory, 301 South Main Street, Benton, Illinois.
Per Patsy’s wishes, cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held at Plasters Grove Cemetery in Thompsonville, Illinois, in the spring of 2026.
