MURPHYSBORO – The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board continue to investigate an aircraft incident at the Southern Illinois Airport in Murphysboro on New Year’s Eve.

Officials say the incident happened on airport property during a landing attempt. The pilot was not injured. There was no threat to the surrounding community.
