CHRISTOPHER – Billie Louise VanZandt, 94, died peacefully at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 15, 1931, in Christopher to Avery and Alta (Williams) Niblett. She married Doy VanZandt on March 18, 1951. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters: Andrea (Jan) Parker and Pam Norris; three grandchildren: Julie Parker, Brad (Whitney) Parker and Carrie (Jason) Threewitt; and three great-grandchildren: Skylar Parker, Taylor Parker and Addison Parker. She is also survived by a special caregiver, Kayla Niblett; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Cody, Kacey and Taytum Pitchford.
She graduated from Christopher High School. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Red Hat Society and the Christian Church. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Ira Cherry; three sisters: Mildred Hagen, Margaret Pasquino and Betty Jones; and three brothers: Howard, Donald and Ronald Niblett.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, with Brother Larry Cook officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
