VALIER – Linda D. Jones, 69, of Valier, Ill., died peacefully in her sleep Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, at her home.

She was born Dec. 4, 1956, in Denver to Harold and Velma (Douglas) Skelton. She married Randal G. Jones on March 4, 1997, and he survives.

Jones was a member of First United Methodist Church in Eldorado. She loved her family and pets, enjoyed being outdoors and hiking, and especially cherished riding with her husband in his semi truck.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Randal Jones of Valier; two sons, Michael W. Casteel and Matthew J. Casteel; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Douglas Wilson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home and Crematory, 301 S. Main St., Benton.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place.
