MARION – The Williamson County Fire Protection District Chief Jeremy Norris Memorial Scholarship Committee will formally award the first Chief Jeremy Norris Memorial Scholarship during a public presentation on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m.

The event will be held at Williamson County Fire Protection District Station 1, located on East Main Street in Marion.

The Chief Jeremy Norris Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the life and legacy of Chief Jeremy Norris, a dedicated fire service professional who served the community with distinction, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to public safety. The scholarship supports students pursuing careers in fire protection, emergency services, and public safety, ensuring that Chief Norris’s legacy of service continues through future generations.

Scholarship Committee will recognize the 2026 scholarship recipient, Gavin McGee, whose academic achievements, community involvement, and commitment to public safety exemplify the values upheld by Chief Norris throughout his career.
