CHRISTOPHER – Kenneth Neil Furlow, 89, of Christopher passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at Herrin Hospital.

He was born June 11, 1936, in Christopher to Orvil and Iva (Sanders) Furlow. He married Marilyn Jane Wayman on Oct. 8, 1961. She preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 2022.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Neil Furlow of Christopher and Wayman (Donna) Furlow of Benton; a granddaughter, Lindsey Jo Furlow of Du Quoin; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Norman and Debbie Wayman of Chicago Heights; a sister-in-law, Virginia Wayman of Du Quoin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a grandson, Josh Brisco; a sister, Lola Fay Pavloff; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Wayman and Richard Wayman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, with Brother Don Wright officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton.
