THOMPSONVILLE — Harley Turner Roehm, 78, of Thompsonville, died at 5:24 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at Stonebridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Benton.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at New Hope Cemetery in Belle Rive. Honors will be conducted by Orient American Legion Post 1961 and the U.S. Navy Honors Team, with Pastor Howard Johnson officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
The Leffler Funeral Home in Benton is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Roehm was born July 22, 1947, in Mount Vernon, the son of Harley Fischer Roehm and Geraldine Delores (Carson) Roehm. He married Evelyn Carter, who preceded him in death on Jan. 11, 2006.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He later worked as a press operator for Maytag for more than 26 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and collecting NASCAR memorabilia.
Survivors include two sisters, Patricia Ann Gant of Benton and Linda Sue Webb of Valier; two nieces, Tanya Massengill of Benton and Lisa Ann Cowan of Salem, Missouri; a nephew, Michael Alan Butler of Benton; great-nieces and nephews, Brett Butler, Derek Butler, Patrick Massengill and Nykki Nelson; and great-great-nieces and nephews, Jaycie, Graycie, Clara, Skylar and Henry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his significant other, Betty Davidson.
