CARBONDALE – Several people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Carbondale Thursday.

Carbondale Police say officers responded just after 4 p.m. to the intersection of East Walnut and South Cedarview streets and learned that a car failed to yield the right-of-way to another vehicle.

Those injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of one vehicle was cited for Failure to Yield.

The roadway was cleared and reopened about 40 minutes later.

The Jackson County Ambulance Service and the Carbondale Fire Department also responded to the scene.
