MCLEANSBORO – Gregory Brent “Greg” Branch, 63, of McLeansboro, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at Wabash Senior Living and Rehabilitation in Carmi.
He was born Oct. 2, 1962, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to Eulan and Frances Branch.
Branch was a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked as a truck driver for various companies, a radio disc jockey, and as an ambulance driver and EMT for Gholson’s Ambulance Service in McLeansboro. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports, especially the Texas Longhorns and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of First Baptist Church of McLeansboro.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Branch of McLeansboro; daughters, Kisha (Dave) Incer and Samantha Branch, both of McLeansboro; a son, Justin (Danielle) Branch of McLeansboro; and six grandchildren, Tyler Branch, Layne Fuller, Tanner Branch, Kaiden Fuller, Adelynn McCullough and Aubrey McCullough, all of McLeansboro.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eulan Branch; a brother, Aaron Branch; a half-sister, Rebecca Branch; paternal grandparents, R.J. Branch and Lillian Williams; and maternal grandparents, Angus Knight and Mabel Lamkin Knight. He was also preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, with Pastor Jacob Gray officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Digby Hill Cemetery in Dale.
The family requests casual dress; St. Louis Cardinals attire is encouraged. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gholson Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
