WEST FRANKFORT – Emmaline J. Duke, 90, of West Frankfort, died at 10:04 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 19, 1935, in Alton to Walter and Louise (Antoine) Schneider.

Duke was deeply religious and enjoyed dancing and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Forest Duke Sr. and Elmer Longest; her parents; sons: Robert Walter Duke, Brian Michael Duke (Brinkley) and Forest Rick Duke Jr.; and a daughter, Barbara Catt, and her husband, James Catt.

Survivors include a son, Roy (Carol) Duke; a grandson, Robert Duke; granddaughters, Jennifer Duke and Jami Catt; and great-granddaughters: Brooklyn Kelley, Alexis Schlimmer and Andrea Schlimmer.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with Terry Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Thompsonville. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
