PENSACOLA, FL – David “Dave” Watson Grear, 79, died Dec. 19, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida.

He was born July 11, 1946, in Washington, D.C., to June M. Grear and Harold E. Grear. Grear graduated from Herrin High School in 1964 and earned a degree from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

He spent his career serving the Christopher community as owner of Town Pharmacy. During that time, he was active in the Christopher Lions Club, Bearcat Boosters and the Chamber of Commerce.

Grear retired in 2006 and later moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling, playing golf and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Grear; three children: Paul Grear, Todd (Rebecca) Grear and Kathy (Brent) Clark; five grandchildren: Harry, Hunter, Gavin, Lauren and Hannah; a sister, Barb Grear; and a brother, Steve Grear.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Thom Grear.

Funeral services will be held at Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher. Service details will be announced at a later date.
