BENTON – Cynthia “Cindy” Lynn (Whaley) Livesay, 69, of Benton, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, in West Frankfort.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at Pate Funeral Home in Benton. Per her wishes, cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the funeral home.

Cindy was born March 22, 1956, in Benton, the daughter of Donald and Betty (Wilkerson) Whaley.

A lifelong CNA caregiver, she enjoyed sewing and homemaking. She especially loved her great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Renee Vandom of Benton and Stacy Lynn Mclaughlin of Thompsonville; a brother, Ronald Dale Whaley and wife Julie of Benton; three grandchildren, Whitney Chloe Whaley and Zach Vallow, Ty Michael Miller, and Austin Dale Miller; and two great-grandchildren, Phoenix Tyler Beal and Maverick James Vallow.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Ray and Chloe Wilkerson; and a grandson, Leyan Michael.
