ROYALTON – Several area fire departments were called out to assist Royalton firefighters with a house fire Saturday night in the 100 block of North Main Street.

According to the Royalton Fire Department, firefighters were able to get the blaze under control and protect another structure nearby. The home is a total loss. They believe the fire may be the result of arson because no power was connected to the home. The Illinois State Fire Marshal is investigating.
