MARION – Larry Don Melvin, 67, of Marion, passed away on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at his residence at 6:15 a.m.

He was born on June 15, 1958, in Herrin, Illinois.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Bill Melvin.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Melvin; daughter, Ashley Melvin; brothers: Brad (Dawn) Melvin, Steve Melvin, Scott (Anna) Melvin, and Chris (Brigett) Melvin; granddaughter, Brissa; along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Union Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
