Michael Lynch, 79, of Mulkeytown passed away on Thursday March 12, 2026 in Herrin Hospital at 10:30am.

He was born on November 3, 1946 in Benton to Ira Leo and Claudie (Briley) Lynch. He attended the First Christian Church in Benton. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed riding his side-by-side and going fishing.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife Deborah; parents; brother Ronnie; and sister Sissy.

He is survived by his daughter Mika (Riley) Snell; brothers James (Barbara) Lynch and Whitey Lynch; sister-in-law Connie (Darrell) Kirk; special friend Linda Elder; grandchildren Adalyn, Zach, and Austin; along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday March 17, 2026 in the Union Funeral Home at 6:00pm with Pastor Kurt Sanders officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm prior to the service.
