DAHLGREN – Emma Sioux-Rosemarie Slaton, age 15 and a resident of Dahlgren, IL, passed away at 8:53 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2023 at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
A visitation service will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL and doors will open at noon. Pastor Scott Presley will officiate the service. Burial will be held in Richardson Hill Cemetery, Dahlgren, IL.
Emma was born January 11, 2008 in Newburgh, IN to Robert Slaton and Nancy Lee Spradlin. She was a student in Hamilton County School District and she was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church in Branson, MO. Emma loved to dance, fish, play a guitar and crochet.
Survivors include her mother Nancy Slaton and companion Eric Frost of Dahlgren, IL; father Robert Slaton and wife Franky, McLeansboro, IL; sisters Mariah Repasky and husband Stephen, Woodlawn, IL; Abbey Fleming and husband Andrew, Centralia, IL; Lindsey Escoto-Apante and husband Brandon and Mary Slaton, McLeansboro, IL; brothers Mason Walker of Wimauma, FL; Leland Walker, McLeansboro, IL; Easton Slaton of Dahlgren, IL; David Slaton and wife Jessie of Mt. Vernon, IN; Daniel Slaton and companion Nikki of Carmi, IL; aunt Catherine Shelton and husband Scott of Dahlgren; maternal grandmother Catherine Spradlin, McLeansboro; Nephew Milo Repasky, Woodlawn, IL; special care nurses Lacey, Cassie, Caroline, Taylor, Emma; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Her maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents, Marie and Floyd Slaton, preceded Emma in death.
Memorials may be designated to the Costas Center of Cardinal Glennon Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
