CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police need your help finding a vehicle that struck a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday night in the 400 block of East Walnut Street.

Police responded to the scene at 7:30 p.m. and found the victim with serious injuries. The Jackson County Ambulance Service took the victim to the hospital.

Witnesses indicated the suspect vehicle was a silver or gray SUV which was last seen turning south on South Graham Street from East Walnut Street. Detectives were able to utilize intersection cameras and privately owned cameras to identify the suspect vehicle as a 2010 Nissan Rogue with Illinois license plate K60 0864. The victim remains hospitalized with serious injuries. Police continue to investigate.
