More than three decades after its arrival, The Cranberries’ debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? is being reintroduced through a wide-ranging anniversary campaign that reflects its lasting influence. Originally released on March 1, 1993, the record transformed a modest band from a small Irish town into global stars—something guitarist Noel Hogan once described as feeling like “fairytale material.”
The album’s original success laid the foundation for the band’s international breakthrough. It topped charts in both the U.K. and Ireland, sold more than six million copies worldwide, and produced standout singles “Dreams” and “Linger.” Central to its appeal was the unmistakable voice of Dolores O’Riordan, who passed away in 2018.
Now, 33 years on, the group’s legacy continues to resonate. A newly announced deluxe reissue, arriving May 22, will be offered in multiple formats, each packed with archival and newly created material. Among the highlights are fresh 2026 stereo mixes overseen by original producer Stephen Street, along with detailed track notes from the band and visual insights from designer Cally Callomon and photographer Andy Earl. The expanded editions also introduce reimagined versions of key songs, including Spanish-language takes on “Linger” and “Dreams” by rising Latin artists Bratty and Anasof.
Alongside digital and deluxe packages, collectors can look forward a Vinylphyle pressing, cut from the original master tapes by Joe Nino-Hernes, including rare archival details such as tape box imagery and new liner notes by music writer Stuart Clark; as well as a limited three-LP set will feature remastered audio, a full album remix completed at Abbey Road Studios, session recordings, and previously unreleased live performances from a 1994 London show, plus a remix of “Linger” by CHVRCHES’ Iain Cook. The celebration also extends to the band’s early work. Their 1991 EP Uncertain—once a scarce release with only about 5,000 copies pressed—is being reissued on 45rpm vinyl, offering a glimpse into the group’s formative years and early chemistry.
